About Me.
Hello! My name is Elizabeth Smith. Thank you for being here.
I am the Founder and Executive Director of Silterra Consulting Group, where I provide contract-based strategic services to food and agriculture businesses. From market research and policy consulting to executive assistance and event coordination, I help organizations operate more efficiently, make informed decisions, and stay focused on their mission.
Before founding Silterra, I served as Associate Director of Market Research at the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, where I led key initiatives supporting the beef industry’s domestic consumer insights efforts. My previous experience also includes roles in international marketing and event coordination at the Michigan Department of Agriculture & Rural Development, federal policy work with the U.S. House of Representatives, and agricultural advocacy with Western Skies Strategies.
I bring a cross-sector perspective and a practical, results-oriented approach to every client relationship — grounded in a deep understanding of the ag industry and a commitment to helping those who feed the world succeed. Whether you need targeted research, project leadership, or strategic operational support, Silterra is here to be a trusted extension of your team.
